Urei 920-16
Cooper Time Cube
Invented in
1971, this classic analog delay has two separate channels of
acoustical delay.
An audio signal is sent through a pair of coiled tubes
inside the grey housing and is amplified
back to line level by UREi 1109 amplifiers. Channel A has a
16 MS delay and channel B
has a 14 MS delay. They can be cascaded together for a 30 MS
delay.
This
uniquely colored effect sounds really cool on guitars,
vocals, keyboards and percussion.
It can be heard on countless seventies recordings. Some
notable examples are
"Tell Me Something Good" by Rufus, "Lowrider" by War and
"Slow Ride" by
Foghat.
